Dark Mean City

Year 1723.

In a distant land, a gunboat approaches the coast of what seemed to be a peaceful place. Soon the fort's cannons begin to fire towards the crew of looters and rioters. Not knowing who they were or what they carried, the castle commander hits the sailboat, which begins to sink. Amidst the gunpowder smoke, some pirates start descending to the coast to save themselves. They carry with them chests full of treasures and enigmatic objects. They drag the boxes to the beach and disappear into the forest.

Year 2023.

300 years pass, leaving behind ruins of what was a battle, giving rise to a modern city that to this day tries to explain what might have happened. Part of this territory is abandoned as it suffers attacks from forces of the past. What was in one of the chests and where it is located is still a mystery.

In the search for a possible treasure, many ventured through the mountains, caves, and abandoned mines. But this territory of 1225 km², formed by mountains, a city, villages, rivers, seas, and islands is too large to explore in a single day. Venture into this world.

A village to the north, near the central Great Mountain, is abandoned due to a plague that everyone thinks is a pirate curse. In this place, people are behaving quite strangely. They are aggressive, cannibals, feel no pain, like dark places, wander aimlessly through the region, and are called Badawakes.

This has been happening for a long time, and normal people have abandoned the location. A medical scientist, Dr. Philip, who worked at the hospital, stayed to research more about this disease, but disappeared. A school tutor was also never seen again.

Why is this happening? This is the mystery and the reason for the name of this village, Dark Mean City.

But what seems simple, is not. Finding the chests may be the key to unraveling everything. But we cannot forget that the search for them was the reason this curse began.

The game "Dark Mean City" takes place in a land where, in the past, pirates hid treasures and left a curse. After 300 years (present times), our fictional story takes place.

There is a hospital where a medical scientist experiments with a toxin he found in the pirates' chest. This drug transforms part of the population into zombies. This "Great Island" is divided: part is normal and part is abandoned, due to the "curse".
